The Minister

After parish ministries in Glasgow and Ayr, Bob Brown has been minister at Queen's Cross for the past 21 years. He is married to Elizabeth and they have two grown-up sons. One of his main church concerns is the interpretation of scripture and preaching, thereby continuing a tradition begun by the first minister of the congregation, Rev Professor, and later Principal, George Adam Smith. As parish minister, he is a member of the chaplaincy team at Aberdeen Grammar School and chaplain to Albyn School.

He is actively involved in the wider life of the city as Chairman of the Board of the Instant Neighbour Charity and the Management Committee of the Cairns Counselling Centre. His leisure interests include sport, books, cinema and music.
